The Pennington PTA and Mount Vernon City School District in collaboration with the Sandbox Theater Company invite you to "Be Our Guest!" as our students entertain us in the classic musical, Beauty and the Beast Jr.

All students will have an opportunity to see the production during school hours. Adults, family, and community members will have two opportunities to see the magical production in the evening (see below).

The Pennington PTA is thrilled to partner with the MVCSD to bring a FREE performing arts opportunity to our Pennington students this year!

IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE: To keep the selection process as equitable as possible, we selected a total of 50 participants based on a blind lottery system.

All 50 students selected must commit to audition, rehearsal, and performance dates. Just like the district's after-school program, attendance is mandatory to remain in the cast. This program will only work if every participant is fully committed because each rehearsal builds upon the last leading up to the final performances. A waitlist of students will be created if it is needed.

**There are 4 performances: 2 in-school (for Pennington students) and 2 evening (open to the public) on Wednesday, March 20th and Thursday, March 21st.

(Please also note that drop off for the program on rehearsal days will happen by the program teachers after school is complete at 3:00pm. No outside adult drop off is needed -- only timely adult pickup!)

COSAS IMPORTANTES A TENER EN CUENTA:

Para mantener el proceso de selección lo más equitativo posible, seleccionaremos hasta un total de 50 participantes mediante un sistema de lotería ciega.

Los 50 estudiantes seleccionados deben comprometerse con las fechas de audición, ensayo y presentación (consulte a continuación para obtener más detalles).
