Middle school students: Arrive at 8:10 A.M. & Dismiss at 3:00 P.M.

Elementary school students: Arrive at 8:30 A.M & Dismiss at 3:00 P.M.

Pre-K - Drop off and pick up directly from classrooms on Fairway Street exit #s 26 and #27. Parents and caretakers must sign students in upon arrival and out upon dismissal.

Kindergarten - Drop off and pick up directly from classrooms on Fairway Street exit #s 25 and exit # 24.

First grade - Drop off and pick up directly from classrooms on Fairway Street #3 and exit #4.

Grades 2, 3, and 4 - enter and exit via Devonia Avenue. Students enter the school independently. Teachers and students line up outside at dismissal and are released to their parents or caretakers.

Grades 5, 6, 7, and 8 - enter and exit via Harding Street exit #s 5 and 6 (cafeteria). Students enter and exit the school independently.

All students are encouraged but not required to wear school uniforms. The colors are maroon/burgundy tops and khaki bottoms. Pennington's colors are blue and gold. Students are

encouraged to wear their Pennington spirit wear or school colors every Friday to promote school pride. Pennington spirit wear can be purchased HERE

All students enrolled in Mount Vernon City schools are eligible to receive a healthy breakfast and lunch at school at no charge to them or their families. You can find menus HERE

Parent Portal

Mount Vernon City School District is excited to announce our new Student Information System called Infinite Campus and their new Infinite Campus Parent Portal. The Infinite Campus Parent

Portal replaces eSchool Parent Portal (Home Access Center) and provides real-time access to student schedules, grades, contact information, and more.

Please check your email for an activation code to sign up within the first month of school. If you forget your username or password, it can be reset directly by Infinite Campus by clicking on

"Forgot Username" or "Forgot Password." You should now be on the Parent Portal and be able to see your student(s) by clicking "Today" on the left side of the screen.

Infinite Campus also offers a Mobile Portal App for parents. The mobile app can be downloaded through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
